iPad Reviews

Fishtropolis
On May 1, 2012, I rented an iPad from the library. The homework was to pick two apps from the iPad and play with them. I am then supposed to write a review about these two apps. The first app I chose is called “fishtropolis”. This app is a game where you take the name of a fish, and find words out of the name once they scramble the letters. After you submit the word; it will give you the definition of the word. I think this is a great game for students to use because it helps them with their spelling. It also helps them out with the meanings of different words. I would use this in my classroom because this game is fun and educational at the same time. I had a lot of fun with this game.
Kids Math
The other app I chose is called “kids math”. Now I did not download this one; it was already on the iPad when I got it. This game is where you either add or subtract fruit. There are numbers on the fruit at the top of the screen; then the fruit get counted out on the screen. If the equation is subtracting; an X goes on the ones that they are getting rid of. All the students have to do is count out the fruit and then pick the star that has the right number. I would use this game in my class because it is fun, and it helps the students with their adding and subtracting. This game was a lot of fun, and it was addicting as well. This game is very educational. I had a lot of fun using the iPad. I want an iPad so bad. I would recommend everyone using an iPad.
