Picasso Head of Me

My Picasso of me shows that I do not just have one learning style. I like to read out loud because I like to hear the words, so I am an auditory learner. I like to see pictures or sculptures because I like to see what I am learning, so I am a visual learner. I took the learning style quiz and it said that I was a Kinesthetic learner. I am not exactually sure what that means. I try to learn in as many different ways as I can because I like to know excatly what kind of learner I am.

Quote:

"The school pad helps increase the interaction level among students and also the interaction between students and the teacher."

Reason:

I chose this quote because I had no idea what a school pad was. I agree with this statement in a way that it is nice for the students and the teacher to interact with each other. They need to have a way to communicate with each other, so that way the teachers can help the students with any problems they have. The students can also talk to other students and ask them to look over their assignment; to make sure that it is done right. The school pad is a nice tool for schools to have.

Quote:

"And above all, we must stop disparaging digital prowess just because some of us over 40 don’t happen to possess it. "

Response:

I chose this quote because I believe exactly what the quote says. Teachers are discarding technology because they themselves do not know how to use the technology. Education is opening up more to new technology, and now older teachers and new teachers have to learn how to use the technology. There should be some kind of way that once the new technology makes it to the schools; everyone in the schools can learn how to use the technology. The growth of technology will never change.

Information about me

My name is Rebecca Sausen. I was born in Morgantown, WV. I moved to Cumberland, MD when I was four years old because my dad was transfered for work. I want to become a teacher because I love to work with kids. My major is elementary education, and I want to be a kindergarten through sixth grade teacher. I want my students to learn in a creative way. I would put together different activities at different stations, and all the students will be in groups going to each station to learn about something different. I hope that when I become a teacher; my students will want to learn everything that I am teaching them.
